One of the main goals in developing the FUSION hub was to minimize rolling resistance, especially during high-cadence, low-load situations that are common in BMX — like warm-up laps, manuals, or fast-flowing sections.
To achieve this, we optimized several key components:
Use of high-end, low-friction bearings
Precise tuning of pawl spring tension to reduce internal drag
A refined ratchet profile for crisp engagement without excess resistance
Why it matters:
A hub with reduced drag spins more freely.
This translates to better speed retention, a more natural, fluid feel, and less rider fatigue over the course of a session.
The difference is especially noticeable during warm-up laps, manuals, or high-speed sections where the wheel turns without pedaling.
